Translation of the text that Omroep Brabants uses to introduce the video:

Arjan Vera born in Den Bosch goes 365 days long from little hole to little hole….. to play golf

omroep brabant about 365 days of golfDEN BOSCH – Playing on the most beautiful courses of Europe for a period of a year. Something that every golf player likes to do, but Arjan Vera out of Den Bosch puts on his naughty golf shoes and is going to do it. For this he travels, together with wife and campervan, throughout the whole of Europe. Along the way he hopes to earn his costs back.

Vera wants, after a more than twenty years of working in tourism, to become a golf teacher and that means he has to practice a lot. He already got his first student: his girlfriend. Irene has never played golf and Arjan hopes to get her enthusiastic for the game of golf.

‘Hope to discover new golf courses’
The ideal route has not been worked out by Vera. End of this week he starts in North-Holland, next week Tuesday he is in Sint-Michielsgestel. Italy is part of his planning.

He doesn’t have a favourite golf course. “But that is not what I am looking for. Most golf players go on a golf trip in Scotland. I just hope to find something unknown. Lets say a course in Slovakia, where nobody ever heard of. That would be a kick.”

Who is going to pay for all this?
If Vera is going to be able to finish the year is mainly depending on the finances. He hopes to make money by means of video reviews.
“Not all courses have a good video in which the course is properly introduced. I hope to make this for them and sell this to them.”

Other money is also welcome. “I am interested in all forms of financing. Crowdfunding, sponsors, everybody may get involved. “If the money is not going to work, I am probably back in a couple of weeks”, tells Vera with a smile.

‘Living on a square meter’
The year to come Arjan is going to live together with his girlfriend in a campervan. “Monday evening we are going to test sleep in front of the door. My girlfriend and I have worked and lived together in tourism and we are used to live on a square meter”.

The proceedings of Arjan can be followed on his website.”I hope I can place regularly new courses on there and write about my progress. Now I have a handicap of 26, hopefully that is well improved in a year”.
