Golf Club Thalersee situated next to the Thalersee on the border of Graz in the region Steiermark in Austria. A 27 holes Golf Course of which the the nine hole course Steinfeld was closed due to the heavy rain fall the days before. Wicked Golfers played the 18 holes course called Windhof. This is also the name of the club house/ restaurant were the reception and the dressing rooms are [Funny name if you are there and a windy storm is going].
Driving range and practice putting green are in good conditions. Only two practice mats are covered and the others are in levels downwards next to each other. Because the piece of land is not long enough it is not allowed to train with your driver, which of course is a pity.
On the course there are no fairway bunkers and only a few water hazards in play. The state of the bunkers we can’t judge because of the huge amount of water that had come down and stayed in the bunkers.
Nicely trough the forest towards hole 2, huge drive shots at hole 10 and 14, difficult par 3 over a big bunker on hole 12 and a final hole 18 which is not all to difficult. A golf course for everyone.
Extra to mention: No noise of cars on nearby highways, no electricity wires, no trains passing by, so completely quiet and healthy to play here !
My opinion about golf course thalersee :
